In the cylinder the plastic is encouraged towards the reverse current cut-off by the rotational movement of the screw.
In order to achieve a homogenous melt, the lowest possible revolution speed should be used.
This is especially important for shear sensitive thermoplastics.
When using thermoplastics, which have been reinforced with fibre or filled with minerals, a greater amount of screw erosion can occur.
We therefore offer various screws of different manufactured types.
  -  nitrided screws (wear-resistant standard quality)
  -  fully hardened screws (highly wear-resitant quality)
  -  powder metal screws (extremely highly wear-resitant quality)

Alternatives: we offer regeneration of old screws by polishing the upper edge of the pin and applying a hard alloy against abrasion and corrosion
